- Phone ahead to arrange and confirm your RV collection time.
- Skip the RV “extras” packs — Walmart is far cheaper for bedding, chairs, and basics. If there are only 2 of you, it might also be cheaper to buy utensils and crockery etc.
- Peek inside a similar RV model before buying bedding so you know what fits.
- Check the price of fuel in Vegas before you go (Navada was more expensive than small towns in Utah!
- Pack a microfiber towel — compact and fast‑drying.
- Book your campgrounds ahead – this is a really tourist busy part of America.
- Take some time to park “level” before you go to bed.
- Buy bottled water – you don’t know how clean the pipes are!
- Pack swimwear for hot dusty hot tub evenings.
- Plan in some 2 night stays to enjoy evening downtime.
- Pack warm layers for cooler evenings.
- Pack day rucksacks for picnics and water.
